We were appointed by our client to carry out a Design to improve and renovate the existing dental surgery. The project was inherently complicated. The building, originally of early 16th century date, is of timber-frame (2½bays) and (later) masonry construction; however, the former has largely been removed from both ground and first floors –with only isolated structural posts and two roof trusses remaining –and built-over with brickwork. The building is Grade II listed (as of 7 June1995), the description for which is given at Appendix A. It is located in the Elstree Village Conservation Area, as designated by Hertsmere Borough Council.

After 1 year in planning. It then took 3 very long weeks in construction via a design and build contract. We were novated to the building contractor to assist with the project management of the work to a successful conclusion.
